KING OF KINGS 4:400:00/4:40
There are times when we are just spent and feel overwhelmed. Times when we feel drained and just don't know how we're going to keep going, much less keep going well and productively. Whether it's health, being a caregiver, taking care of kids, or just dealing with each thing that life brings us. It can leave us just tired. Because we live in this world of sin, we're not promised to not feel this way. But God, He has promised to help us through this. When I feel like I just don't have the strength to carry on, or have the energy to deal yet with the next problem or challenge, God promises to carry us through. When we are weak, He is strong. This oldie but goodie from Steven Curtis Chapman is a favorite of mine to sing through these times.

My son loves anything vintage. Anything from 1950s, he loves to collect or restore and call his own. In fact, he even says, I should have been born in the 50s. This led to a conversation about why God chose to create us for the time He did. Have you ever wondered that? Admittedly, I have questioned why God chose to put me here on earth during this time. I mean, why during a pandemic years ago? Why when this world is getting so crazy? Like Did God really think I was strong enough for some of this stuff? He did. He made me and you for this time...specifically. He DESIGNED you just for this time that you're living in now. I wrote this song thinking on that, and I remind myself that God put me and you here for a purpose.
