KING OF KINGS 4:400:00/4:40
These past two weeks have been filled with a lot of different kinds of stress. One of them sustaining a nasty injury that has kept me from literally not being able to move without excruciating pain. You know the phrase, "Stop and smell the roses?" That's taken on a whole new meaning this week. You just can't take for granted the "normal" things in life like being able to get up and go outside and smell the roses. After my injury, I thought "Really God? One more thing?" But you know it's in the lowest, most stressful valleys I think of the verse in Deuteronomy 31:6-8 comes to mind. "Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you." There are many verses in the Bible that it talks about God never leaving you. This song, "God is in the Story," is one I've been singing this week.
You Say
God says you are loved, you are strong, you are beautiful, and you matter!
Thinking of the many people today who are going through some really rough situations. Maybe emotionally or physically. There are many who have health issues or trying to recover from the trauma of their past or even these past few years. What we've been through folks and what others are still going through hasn't been easy. Just living in the world we live in today hasn't been easy. Although not a romantic song, with Valentine's Day coming up this song speaks to my heart. And this Bible verse has always been a favorite of mine as well. Psalm 73:26 - My flesh and my heart may fail but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Tell your heart to beat again! Get out there and live the life God has purposed you for.
